New owner intended to convert devastated and uncared for palace and corresponding ruins within the walls of the medieval city of Korčula into a high-class tourist residence with luxury apartments and related common facilities.
Spatially, the conversion was supposed to preserve, restore and propound all characteristics of the existing building complex, whereas the new interpolation above ruins was supposed to nest in harmoniously, underlining beauty of the existing complex.
New content demands comfort which again demands lots of new infrastructure, which was never there, and which is involved into the house on a very unusual and ingenious ways.
